Course Overview
This 2 part course was created to educate employees about the existence of confined spaces, the type of hazardous conditions that can be present in them, and the basic requirements for entry into permit-required confined spaces.
This course also will review the basic requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, known as OSHA, for entering permit required confined spaces along with ANSI/ASSP Z117.1 – 2022 Safety Requirements for Entering Confined Spaces for best practices when entering, exiting, and working in permit required and non-permit confined spaces.
Among the course topics, we will cover the basic requirements for determining whether a space should be classified as confined space, the hazards that may be present in a confined space, types of confined spaces, confined space entry permits, and the requirements for entering a confined space.
We will also provide you with additional details on the key roles and responsibilities for each person involved in a permit space entry, along with information on rescue procedures and training requirements for each affected and authorized employee. Both Parts 1 and 2 must be taken to complete this course.
